Cimat Zacatecas Unit

The Zacatecas Unit of the Center for Research in Mathematics, A.C. (Cimat) is part of one of Mexico's most renowned public research centers in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Cimat is a Public Center under the Ministry of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (Secihti). From Quantum, City of Knowledge, this branch contributes to the generation, dissemination, and application of scientific and technological knowledge, impacting talent development, innovation, and the resolution of issues of social, academic, and productive relevance.

What is Cimat?

Founded in 1980, Cimat is a center dedicated to scientific research, the training of high-level human resources, and engagement with the public, private, and social sectors. Its mission focuses on generating, transmitting, and applying specialized knowledge in mathematics, statistics, and computer science, with the purpose of contributing to the scientific and technological development of Mexico. Throughout its history, Cimat has consolidated a national presence through its main headquarters in Guanajuato and its units in Aguascalientes, Mérida, Monterrey, and Zacatecas.

The Zacatecas Unit extends the substantive activities of Cimat in the region and integrates into the innovation ecosystem of Quantum, City of Knowledge.
